Dr. Amy Sikes, Physician/Physician Advisor of Utilization Review and Case Management at UMC Health System
With a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University and board certification in Family Medicine, Dr. Sikes has a solid foundation in medical education. Her professional journey includes a residency in Family and Community Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Sikes has been dedicated to healthcare from the start, practicing medicine in a Level 1 trauma Emergency Room at University Medical Center since her second year of residency.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Sikes has taken on a leadership role as the Physician Champion for Utilization Review, Hospital Efficiency, and Length of Stay at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas since 2018. Dr. Sikes’ commitment to improving patient care and streamlining hospital processes has been a central focus of her career.
Kayla Long, MSN, RN, ACM, Director of Case Management at UMC Health System
Kayla is a seasoned leader in case management, bringing over 13 years of comprehensive experience to her role. With a strong foundation in healthcare, Kayla has dedicated herself to enhancing patient care and optimizing processes throughout her career.
For more than a decade, Kayla has been an integral part of UMC Health System, where she has held various positions of increasing responsibility. In her current position, Kayla oversees the strategic direction of case management operations, ensuring high-quality care delivery and effective utilization of resources at UMC Health System. Throughout her career, Kayla has demonstrated a passion for healthcare excellence, leveraging her extensive experience to drive positive outcomes and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within her teams.
Joan Butters, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder at Xsolis
With more than 20 years of healthcare operations and IT leadership experience across the Payer, Hospital, Physician, and Pharmacy verticals, Joan Butters brings a combination of insight and expertise to her position as Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of Xsolis. Prior to founding Xsolis, Joan served as Vice President/General Manager of Strategy and Emerging Solutions at Optum, where she identified and developed new technology solutions which generated over $225m annually and provided services across the healthcare ecosystem.
Joan got her start in healthcare at AIM Healthcare as Vice President, Data Mining Technologies, serving as a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for the formation and growth of AIM Healthcare, the leader in cost containment solutions servicing the payer, hospital and provider healthcare markets.
